The year 2021 marks the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).  Over the past century，the CPC has made great contributions to the country and the people，which shine through history.

Foreign exchange administration figures prominently in the cause of the Party and the state. Under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee，the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) has always headed in the direction of the reform of socialist market economy as well as the coordination of development and security since its founding in 1979. It has also continued to deepen the reform and opening up in the foreign exchange field and improve the foreign exchange administration system. While boosting the development of China's foreign-related economy，it has effectively safeguarded the country's economic and financial security. At this critical juncture，the SAFE will draw on the experience of the reform and development of foreign exchange administration under the leadership of the CPC，and continue to improve the foreign exchange administration system compatible with the new system of a higher-level open economy in the new development pattern，so as to make new contributions to China's 14th Five-Year Plan and 2035 Long-Range Objectives.
