On-spot check nearing the end for margin purchase

According to the report, the highlighted on-spot checking for margin business is nearing its end; eight of eleven firms have passed the exam for trial operation. The record of the results will be publicized next week.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The checking work is processing steadily at present, when it started this week. The checking team headed by CSRC, has been dispatched in four groups to local spots to test the foresaid eight firms, this is, the securities of Haitong, Orient, Guotai Junan. Shenyin Wanguo, etc.  Moreover, Everbright and Huatai securities will be examined today.

Some official says it’s at the final stage to decide the first batch of firms for trial running, the result will be publicized not until next Monday, and then the examined firms could apply for the qualifications.

Referring to the start of the business, most investors say it will be lasted till April to open the account for business running.
