Over-lapped factors prevailing to hamper export

Spokesman Yao Jian with the Ministry of Commerce said July 20 at a News Conference that, foreign trade situation is still stern despite the single month record in June. The prevailing factor, which curbing the ongoing of export, is the slowdown of overseas demand. Numbered European countries have tightened their fiscal budget due to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Europe’s sovereignty-debt crisis; in this case, it will severely limit expenditure and investment in European area. Emerging economies such as Brazil, India alike, are also about to adopt tightening policy in face of the crisis. All this will be blended in affecting the further expansion of the nation’s export, leaving with it limited range for growing.

Difficulties presented domestically are due to the following matters: uneasy to hire the workers in low wages; the surge of resource prices, etc. these factors are over lapped currently to loosen our competition at global market.

Moreover it sees serious phenomenon in trade frictions nowadays. In the first half of the year, China has suffered as high as 4.6 billion US dollars form several anti-dumping, anti-subsidy cases. Facing complicated situation, Yao points out it should continually strive for overseas demand, with stabled and successive policies, in speeding up trading mode transfer and promoting coordinated and sustainable foreign trade development.

Yao Jian says the Commercial ministry recently has worked out guidelines in supporting exporters and in advancing market diversification as to make better correlations amid the link points during the process of trade business.
