New energy industries inspiring investment of 5 trillion yuan

According to National Resource Bureau, it has already worked out the development program for new source industries to be fully developed during 2011-2020, based on the instructions of the State Council.   <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

In this plan the industries by two categories are included: new source sectors, such as nuclear power, wind and solar power, biological energy, etc; other industries are meant to upgrading of traditional enterprises like clean coal technology, intelligent electric grid operating, distributed energy system, new power for vehicles, etc.

It is forecasted that in exertion of the plan, it will increase industrial value by 1.5 trillion yuan and afford job opportunities for fifteen million labors, accumulating direct investment up to 5 trillion yuan. By the end of 2020, dependence on coal supply will be greatly decreased with less emission of sulfur dioxide by 78.0 billion tons and carbon dioxide by 1.2 billion tons.
